WHO I AM

My name is Roger Bush; I am a retired police officer, detective and computer forensics examiner with more than 20 years of service in Oregon law enforcement. I also have more than 3 years of security management and training in the private security sector.

I am a DPSST certified instructor for both the Basic Unarmed Private Security course and the Refresher Unarmed Private Security courses. These courses are required for all security personnel in Oregon. The Refresher course is required every two years to maintain your certification in Oregon.

PAST & PRESENT

I began my law enforcement career with the Hillsboro Police Department as a Reserve Police Officer on October 20, 1986. I received training at the Multnomah County Reserve Police Officer Academy in 1988 and that same year, I was appointed as the Program Coordinator for the Hillsboro Police Dept. Reserve Program. Our main function as Reserve Officers was to augment the regular police offices and to do training for all reserve police officers.

In 1990 I was hired as a patrol officer with the Hillsboro Police Officer and worked partol for four years. In 1994 I was assigned to the detective division and worked general assignement investigations. In 1996 I was the first detective choosen to work the newly formed High Tech Crime Team. While serving on the High Tech Crime Team I received training as a computer forensics examiner and performed computer forensics for the next five years.

After 20 years of service with the Hillsboro Police Department, I retired in 2010, and joined Community First Security where I was Site Security Manager at Vibra Specialisty Hospital in Portland, Oregon. I managed a staff of five security officers where we provided security 24/7.

In June 2012 I joined Security Industry Specialists, Inc. as a security supervisor at the Apple Data Center in Prineville, Oregon. I continue to supervise security specialists for SIS and look forward to many years of service with this great company.
